2006 Summary of Road Patrol Traffic
Activities In The Townships

Here is a summary of traffic matters which were investigated by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The summary is limited to the four townships which are patrolled by this agency. These townships include Concord Township, Leroy Township, Painesville Township and Perry Township. The traffic matters range from property damage motor vehicle accidents to fatal motor vehicle accidents. OVI (Operating Vehicle Intoxicated) and DUS (Driving Under Suspension) offenses are also included in this summary.

The summary reflects upon traffic matters that occurred primarily in the year 2006, however, statistics also reflect activity from the years 2004 and 2005 for easy comparison on activity during these previous years. The summary can be used for more than just determining the total number of particular incidents. It can also be used as a tool to locate and identify select target areas that require additional enforcement and policing.

The summary is displayed in color coordinated bar graphs utilizing a specific color to represent a specific district. The bar graphs identify the year in which incidents were investigated. The bar graphs also identify the number of incidents that were investigated in each individual district.
