                   2005 Support Services Review
                                            Sheryl DePledge
                                                Administrative Support Services Administrator

In 2005, the Support Services Division experienced one retirement resulting in the hiring of a replacement that will
finish training in February of 2006.  This clerk has been assigned to the Jail Trac work area.

Support Services personnel remained the same in 2005 with sixteen full time employees and two part time employees.  Eight of those clerks are assigned to our Jail Records/Jail Trac area and provide around the clock support to our operations.  A college intern worked in December helping out with filing, data entry and with the I. T. Department operations.   Eight clerks reached tenure in there employment and had their vacation time increase by one week each.

To accommodate the ever increasing need for storage, four lateral file cabinets were purchased in 2005.  Two are being used to store bank statements, invoices and personnel documents.  A third is to store our expungement files.  The original file cabinet used to store these files in now being used for our Protection Order entries.    The amount of protection orders became very cumbersome for three-ring binders.   The fourth new file cabinet is for files in our Detective Bureau.

Five old typewriters, an old copy machine and a fax machine were sent to county auction as they were either inoperable or no longer needed in our office.

In 2006 we will change the way we work with the implementation of Intergraph Public Safety software.  Much work on this transition started in 2005 and continues with data conversion plans and training schedules.  Live cut over is scheduled for June 26, 2006.
