Fee Schedule and Application Forms
Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District currently administers Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) Ordinances for the following Municipalities and Townships
Municipalities: Kirtland, Mentor-on-the-Lake, Wickliffe, & Willoughby Hills
Townships: Concord, Leroy, Painesville, Perry, & Madison
The language of these ordinances can be found on our ESC Rules Pages
Application Procedures
The applicant must first select either the Municipal Application or the Township Application depending on which community the project is located in. An applicant is then required to bring 2 copies of site plans, a completed application, and a review and inspection fee for that particular project. These plans are then reviewed by the District to ensure that they meet the criteria set forth in that particular community's most current erosion and sediment control ordinance. All plans shall be submitted 30 days in advance of the proposed start date. Typically, Abbreviated Plans take about a week to review, while larger plans can take several weeks. Specific details on site plans can be found on our Site Plans pages.
Fees
Plan review and inspection fees are a one-time payment. Fees are based on the size of the parcel of the project. For specific information on what fee your project will require, please review either the Municipal Fee or Township Fee forms. Checks for projects in municipalities must be made out directly to the “Lake SWCD” while fees for projects in Townships must be made out to the “Lake County Treasurer”. Credit payments are not accepted. Review will not be conducted nor will approvals be granted until all fees are paid.
